Vyasa Puja Offerings 2026: Dhananjaya Dasa

The following is the Vyasa Puja offering by His Grace Dhananjaya Dasa.

This is my humble and insignificant offering to my spiritual master, His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, whose appearance we are celebrating today, on the 5th of September.

It is an auspicious day of Nandotsava, the day of the name-giving ceremony of Lord Krishna, who appeared just one day before Srila Prabhupada. Such an auspicious appearance cannot be an accident; it is surely a sign of a great personality.

Oftentimes, we celebrate birthdays with the idea of finding an excuse for a good time or for receiving a moment of attention. But really, no one is benefited by such self-aggrandizement. In the case of the appearance of an acharya, however, the entire world is benefited, for such a pure devotee is capable of delivering the entire world from the reactions of sinful activities.

In this age of Kali, irreligiosity is predominant, and for that reason there are many such sinful living entities. But it only takes a single person like Srila Prabhupada to change the course of our wretched lives.

The holy name is potent, and it becomes even more potent when chanted under the instruction of Srila Prabhupada. Srila Visvanatha Chakravarti thakur says in this regard that by pleasing the spiritual master, we please Lord Hari directly, and by displeasing him, we do not know where we are going.

Srila Prabhupada is very kindly and mercifully teaching me how to please him, but unfortunately, I have no taste for hearing his message. It is understood from the Srimad-Bhagavatam that by serving the person Bhagavata, one develops an affinity for hearing the Bhagavatam.

Therefore, please kindly engage me in your service.
